Apply now!/ppLocation: 4668 Cascade Rd - Grand Rapids, Michigan 49546/ph3Position Summary/h3pThis role is responsible to properly cut all types of meats into various types of cuts and all preparation of related products in the variety, size, quality, and trim prescribed by company and department standards; to ensure that the work shift contributes to the financial best interests of the store. Complete all other duties as assigned in a timely manner./ph3Heres What Youll Do/h3ulliCut and weigh steaks, chops, etc. for individual servings./liliProduce value-added products per established guidelines./liliCut, trim, and bone carcass sections or prime cuts to reduce to cooking cuts./liliFollow established recipes to grind and tray meats and make sausage and other products./liliPrice, date, wrap and/or bag meat products per established guidelines using department scales./liliProperly fill, rotate and merchandise shelves, cases and displays./liliNotify the manager if products and supplies need to be ordered./liliReceives, unloads, and stocks merchandise./liliHave familiarity with all products carried in the department; know differences in price, taste, preparation, use etc./liliPractice suggestive selling techniques with customers./liliMaintain a clean, attractive and well stocked department./liliFollow all PPE and Safety Guidelines/liliFollow all Food Safety and Cleaning Expectations/liliFollow guest experience guidelines/liliMay be assigned tasks in other departments based on customer experience need/liliAdditional responsibilities may be assigned as needed/li/ulh3Heres What Youll Need/h3ulliHigh school diploma or GED/liliOne (1) year retail or other related experience preferred. Prior experience in a Meat Cutter, Apprentice role strongly preferred./liliAbility to read, write, comprehend, and interpret documents/liliBasic mathematical skills/liliSuggestive Selling/Knowledge of Products/liliDetail Oriented/li/ulpThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
