Overview:
Golden State Foods is seeking a reliable and safety-focused Yard Driver / Warehouse Associate to join our team. This dual-role position is responsible for operating tractor-trailer equipment in accordance with DOT regulations and supporting warehouse operations when yard driving duties are not required. Key Responsibilities:

• Safely operate tractor-trailer equipment on and off company property for docking, loading, and unloading.
• Collaborate with warehouse staff to coordinate trailer drop and hook locations.
• Inspect equipment for safety and functionality; monitor reefer fuel levels and temperatures, and pre-cool units per company standards.
• Unload return trailers and clean them as needed.
• Secure trailers using wheel chocks and airline locks according to company procedures.
• Align equipment based on scheduled departure times and update dispatch records accordingly.
• Maintain communication with the transportation management team.
• Park equipment in designated areas and ensure the yard remains clean and organized.
• Follow all company safety policies and quality standards.
• Perform general warehouse duties and other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Valid Class A CDL with current medical certification required.
• Ability to obtain and maintain forklift certification.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Pay Range (Base Pay):   $31.71 per/hr.        Other Compensation:  May include shift differentials, overtime pay, bonuses, or other incentive pay as applicable to the position and location.   Health and Wellness: Medical, Dental, Vision benefits provided by the Union      Retirement Benefits:  401(k)       Paid Time Off (PTO):  Includes vacation, sick leave, and paid company holidays provided in accordance with company policy and applicable state and local laws.
