Yard Logistics Technician

Salary/Pay Rate/Compensation: $26/hr

Shift Schedule: Rotating schedule 36/48 - 12 hour shifts (6 to 6) Day/night (Swingshift)

What's a typical day as Yard Logistics Technician? You'll be:

  • Operating an Ottawa Yard Tractor safely throughout the Carrollton Site
  • Moving 53' box trailers and tank trailers from staging areas, across scales, and spotting them in specific locations as directed by the Dow Logistics Scheduler
  • Performing daily inspections of equipment to ensure optimal functioning
  • Adhering strictly to safety protocols and wearing required safety gear including long sleeves, steel toe shoes, safety glasses, and a hard hat

This job might be an outstanding fit if you:

  • Can provide a TWIC card (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) within 21 days of start date (~$150 cost, will be reimbursed by Kelly)
  • Have experience driving heavy equipment, especially tractor trailers or yard tractors
  • Always prioritize safety above production
  • Possess a HSD/GED
  • Are capable of climbing into/out of the Ottawa throughout the scheduled shift
  • Can work overtime if necessary
  • Demonstrate excellent attendance, as the role is critical for fulfilling customer orders
